Merrimac's Geneva

Buttery, crimpy fleece
When we decided to breed our Pinachi daughter, Bliss, to Navigator in 2007 we thought this was a good match and we were excited to see their cria. When Geneva was born, we thought she was beautiful (the fact that she was a female probably helped) but as she developed we knew that this pairing was a magical combination. Take a look at Geneva! She is just gorgeous! In every way we can think of, she has exceeded our expectations. She has it all. Her fleece is shiny, silky and crimpy with coverage from top to toes. Her structure is very correct with broadness in the chest and strong, straight bone. And she is soooo cute!! And sweet!

Plan on seeing Geneva in the showring in 2010.

We have, of course, rebred Bliss and Navigator…if it works, don’t fix it!

Merrimac Alpacas and Montana Alpaca Traders are very proud to present this high quality herdsire who is just beginning his breeding career. Navigator's bloodlines are impeccable with Augusto, Snowmass Accoyocusani, Pluro and Peruvian Payday as grandsires. His sire, Snowmass Churicala's Augusto is a fine macho who has passed on many wonderful traits to his son, Navigator. This boy has wonderful structure and bone, a perfect bite, beautiful head and his fleece is dense and denser and crimpy and crimpier from skin to tip. In 2009, his blanket alone was over 6lbs. We were so happy with his first cria (Merrimac’s Geneva) born last summer that we bred a number of girls to him for our production this year. So far, we’ve had a gorgeous boy and a bunch of gorgeous girls! We are very happy campers right now!! Navigator's breeding fee includes 60 days board for your dam and cria as well as ultrasound confirmation. Mobile breeding is also available for farms in the Puget Sound Area.   ...

Service Sire

Luc's Captain Kirk

ARI# 839980
Color Dark Silver Grey
Due Date 7/1/2011

Kirk is a wonderful silver gray male. Kirk's fleece exhibits a tight, high frequency crimp from tip to base and is uniform throughout his blanket. He repeatedly receives comments on his superb fineness and handle. His sire is the famous Dom Lucilio and his grandsire is Pperuvian Royal Fawn. Royal Fawn is the only light fawn Accoyo ever exported from Don Julio Barreda's herd. 'According to Julio Barreda, Royal Fawn ranked as one of the best that he had ever produced at Estancia Accoyo in Peru.' Dom Lucilio has had 286 cria registered; only 9 are silver gray. It is a rare opportunity to have these genetics in Gray. What a great opportunity to add these great genetics to your herd. Both Dom Luclio and Peruvian Royal Fawn have $5,000 breeding fees.   ...
