848817 White A Hemingway granddaughter of pure Alianza lineage. True to her pedigree, Avril has a dense fleece with good crimp definition. Well conformed, she combines substance with elegance. Avril is the daughter and sister of Champions - including a full brother, Aztec Avatar.
Sire - Aztec Avalance was a Champion in Canada before being exported to England in 2002.
Avalanche's dam, PPPeruvian Snowspirit 4729, was imported from the Rural Alianza in 1995 at the age of 2.5 years with an AFD of 17.1 and a fleece weight of 6.5 pounds. At 6 years of age, she had a micron of 22.3 - and her fleece placed 1st at the 2000 Westcoast Sweepstakes! Snowspirit produced 12 crias for AOBA judge Jill McCleod & family of Aztec Alpacas in Canada, including at least 2 Champions.
Dam - PPPeruvian Snappy 4783 was another gem from the Alianza herds of Peru, and highly prized by her owners, Aztec Alpacas of Canada. Imported at 2 years of age, her fleece weight at importation was 6.0 pounds of 21.1 micron fleece. Snappy produced 4 Champions.

Born in Peru in 1993 and imported to the US in 1995, we purchased her from Snowmass Alpacas and she came to our farm in 1998. Steady progress is occurring here at Colusa Riverside in the goal to produce the industry finest fibered alpacas. We strive to promote every animal's potential & stud pairing to pass on improved fiber traits to each and every offspring. Visit us virtually or in person to buy, learn or see our alpacas and their EPDS. Catarina has given us 5 offspring, all without any complications in breeding, gestation and birthing. She is being offered to a new owner several years of production of quality alpacas at a reasonable price point.
Cat's EPD picture is very nice. She has excellent values in all the right fiber traits for showing and breeding improvement in offspring. The majority of her EPD for fiber traits are in the 5% to 10% ranking nationally. Cat's histogram for 2018 matches her EPD picture with consistency of fineness through her age of 14 years. Take a look at her latest histogram trait values. Cat is now bred to Snow Diamond Chateau Cerise. His EPD picture is ideal, with low percentages in all traits across the EPD spectrum. The offspring of this pairing will be show ready.
Lots of genetic lineage in this dam. She has lineage of Hemingway, El Nino, and Caliente. Chateau has Accoyo Elite, Quechua up & down, and Matrix. Catarina definitely has size, conformation and good bone, an excellent phenotype structurally as a production dam. Cat is a dam that gentle and easy to handle. She is a great mother with many cria to show it.
