Sire: Captain Jack Sparrow ARI#
1000320 Medium Fawn Captain Jack Sparrow is one of our signature herdsires. Captain Jack is a captivating fawn male with an elite fleece that is to die for. Shown three times as a juvenile; with three first place wins, a Color Championship, and a Reserve Color Championship to kick off his show career, this big boy was off to a great start. Captain Jack has left judges breathless, but certainly not speechless upon opening his fleece. Captain Jack is a Peruvian Dakotia son (Bueno) and from our exceptional fawn foundation female Peruvian Accent (Accoyo Leon). Dakotia is of course no longer available due to the unfortunate Land-O-Lakes feed poisoning incident.
Captain Jack has everything that you are looking for in a herdsire – perfect conformation, tremendous fleece coverage, a soft handle with high frequency and high amplitude crimp, and a particularly dense fleece that is aging well. He is also throwing colors across the board; literally from white to black and gray.
Captain Jack is Co-Owned with Peterson Creek Ranch.
Dam: Miss Macy Grey ARI#
30335226 Light Rose Grey Two Championships at monster fleece shows, including AOBA in 2008 as the RES Champ. And a pretty good halter career as well. Macy's pedigree is chock full of super star producers such as Cisco Kid, Timoteo, Silvio, and Black Mesquite. Her dam Miss Money Penny, has been a top producer at Sugartown Farms for years.
Macy's fleece is fine with exceptional character and structure for a gray. We feel that combined with our Captain Jack Sparrow the fleece will only get better.
The bonus is that this girl's last cria (Grayconic) from Captain Jack Sparrow is now the top Rose Gray Male at the 2014 Alpaca Owners Association National Show. And she is of course bred back to him now. Jack has thrown gray numerous times and we are we are looking for a repeat. If not, no problem, we are confident that her next cria will be another rock star in any color. She is due with another show stopper October 19, 2014.
Get her before September, because that's when we will pull her from the sales list and keep the cria.......
Description
Here you have the first of what we hope are many gray offspring of our Captain Jack Sparrow. Jack has a propensity to let the color of the dam pass and yet impart his fleece characteristics on the result.
Jack has Produced Color Champions in every Color classification except gray and white, so we are working for the octfecta so to speak.....
You are really going to like this male; huge staple length, extremely fine and bright, volumes of density, on a sturdy frame and broad heritage.
We are looking to get him some exposure in a different geographic region and are willing to have a partner on him. We plan on showing him extensively and feel really good about the possibility of him being Captain Jack's first gray Color Champion.
HE DID IT!!!!
