Description

We had birthed enough of Arturo's cria to know that we would have a very special "white" boy the day he was born, despite the fact that Arturo is brown, and Valentina, one of our very best foundation females, is fawn.

Valentina had already provided us with Nina Simone, by our solid grey sire Legato Grigio. She is a RR Rose La Reina daughter by Snowmass Conopa. As of 1/17, she is the densest female yet biopsied by Ian Watt.
La Reina is also responsible for the second densest female, RR Abigail Adams.
The bottom line on the bottom line is rock solid!

Click on parentage which includes not only serial histograms, but also skin biopsy results on parents and if you follow the trail, grandparents. If you are a technician, they are mind blowing. The generational continued improvement, not only is seen in follicle density, but in the narrowing of differential in micron between primaries and secondaries in Arturo.

Arturo may be brown, but he has analytics that any white herdsire would be proud of, and is our densest male to boot. He has already made a white champion by a fawn female. RR Warhol got that done at 7 months of age.

Bottom line on top line is rock solid.

Van Gogh is a wolf in sheep's clothing in his color genetics;

However, he has a copy of a powerful dilution gene(s) from each parent. He is pink from eyelids to comes to toenails. There are no dark spots and skin is uniformly pink.

We would expect him to produce brown and fawn when bred to females of color.

He is a switch hitter and for someone who wants to put a single male across the entire herd for fiber and density improvement, keep an eye on this youngster to be your man.

He is going to be ready for the shows this spring. He was off to a good start at the Western Alpaca Extravaganza and Alpaca Breeder's Invitational in fall 2017, taking 1st of 6, in tough competition, at both shows.
