31620420 Medium Brown We knew that Arturo was going to be extraordinary as soon as his fleece was dry. His namesake, Ken's father (Arthur), would have been 100 years old the day Arturo was born.
We also knew that dad, our own Snowmass RRoyal Stars was a "dilution" white, with fleece density in the top 1% of alpacas biopsied by Ian Watt, as was his mom RR Rose Encantada and waited with confident expectations until the results came in.

Want fineness...look at his histograms. His histogram at 36 months--> AFD 17.5/ SD 3.6/ CV 20.8/ CF 100% and curve 55.0 Dg/mm is one that would make any cria proud!
He is a stunning male and of all the ribbons and banners that he has racked up, the one that we're most proud of is "Best Hand" at MAPACA, under Jude Anderson...that says it all! PLUS...HE MAKES SOLID GREY...
Arturo has established his genetics indelibly in our herd and made many Champions and banners.

31620055 Medium Brown Isabella is a RR Gun's A'Blazin' daughter who has analytics that are "outasight". Check out those serial histograms for consistent fineness. A micron under 22 at age 6 is impressive...a comfort factor of 96%, is ridiculous.
After 4 pregnancy, she still has only 4% of her fibers over 30 micron!
In terms of genetic predilection for fiber production, her skin biopsy, at 23 months, shows a set of numbers that we would love to see across the herd (reference to Alpaca Consulting USA, Ian Watt):
Follicle density: 61.8/cm2
Secondaries/Primaries: 13.8:1
In-skin mean primary diameter: 22.1 SD 2.3
In-skin mean secondary diameter: 19.3 SD 2.2
A very dense fleece, very high S/P but exceptional differential between secondary and primary fibers in the skin about to emerge of 2.8 mm...and remarkably low standard deviations in the individual fiber populations.

A picture can show the boxy conformation, square comportment, strong bone and correct conformation, not to mention typey head...but can't do justice to fiber.
Sure, even as a cria, it is a bright as a copper penny with tight crimp that expands, still beautifully organized, to her belly and brisket...but the potential for this youngster is in the pedigree:
BOTH sire and dam have fiber with 22 micron mean diameter at age 6. Both have comfort factors of 96% (i.e. only 4% of fibers over 30 microns) at age 6...but they also both have 2 of the very best densities and uniformities, as determined by differential in the primary and secondary fiber populations and standard deviations of those individual groups.
We had plans to breed Adele, but found her to have a hypoplastic vagina. She will make an outstanding pet/ fiber girl. Truly outstanding fleece!
