Snow Diamond Chateau Cerise is a Herd Sire who genetic picture is just what we utilize in our breeding. This boy will give more diversity to our already diverse genetics here at Colusa Riverside. Chateau is a package of genetics that include Matrix, Quechua, Accoyo Elite, and Legacy with a beginning lineage touch of Hemingway. Chateau is as dense as they can come. He is in the 1% for fleece weight. He is fine and uniform in his fineness. Take a look at his EPD genetic picture and what he can produce in his offspring. He definitely has excellent EPDs across all fiber trait values. At age 10 years he is carrying a SL greater than 90 mm, and a CV of 15. We chose him because his genetics will improve every fiber trait in his offspring, in every single trait. in 2023 his fiber yield was 11 pounds. He will also improve density and fleece weight significantly. Take a look at his 2022 histogram and show record. We recently had his offspring at the California Classic and Gold County Gathering, duel shows. They all placed particularly well in every showing. In walking fleece white and light his offspring got repeated positive comments from Judge Amanda regarding their long staple, beautiful handle and brightness. Chateau's bone mass is extensive. Passion is one of our last dams out of Hemingway's Bogart. Soft white and full fleeced medium sized girl. Has that Bogie conformation, longevity of fineness and improved fleece. The density that Bogie puts on his offspring is certainly an added benefit. Dam Priscilla is out of Snowmass RRoyal Stars also renowned for his fiber density. We expected good things from the pairing of Bogart and Priscilla, and got it in Passion. We lost Dam Priscilla so Passion became even more important in our breeding program. Passion was bred to Snow Diamond Chateau Cerise and his first cria is on the ground. Chateau has all the phenotype attributes and EPDs for a working sire to produce quality offspring. Passion is packed with fine fiber. Her shear weight since age 3 was 6+ pounds for the past 3 years. Passion's AFD is 19 with an SD of 3.5 at age two. Her staple length is quite good, luster and brightness is beautiful. Nice Handle and best of all very rare guard hairs. Passion's SD is less than 4.0 and fibers greater than 30% is 0.7%, confirming what I observed, very few guard hairs and good uniformity. Passion's EPD values are wonderful. She is at 5% ranking in all the top 4 fineness fiber traits. She is well improved over the national norm for 7 of 8 trait values. She will improve her offspring in all these fiber traits making her a very valuable foundation dam, not just minor improvement but major improvements. Red Granite's Pruet by Bad Boy we hope will have the same longevity of fineness that his father has, Bad Boy. You can look under the sire tab on this page to see the AFD measurements on Bad Boy over the past 8 years. Pruet's first 3 histograms look like he will continue with this long line of longevity. All three of Pruet's Histogram show an AFD is under 19 microns. That is longevity. Further Pruet will increase density, crip, handle and fineness. Pruet can also improve your offspring in the area of uniformity with a consistent SDAFD at or under 3.8 SD. He is guaranteed to improve SDAFD having an EPD in this category at ranking of 0.7%. Putting Pruet in the 1% for SDAFD. Pruet will reduce medullation fiber given his EPD is 0.4 % in the rankings.
