Description

There are some very nice lines at work in Nuovo Mondo's pedigree and it came together quite nicely in the finished product.

He's a compact male with excellent proportions, strong conformation, excellent jaw alignment and bite.

He has a true non-fading black, with excellent length and brightness. He has good uniformity and a relatively consistent bold, high amplitute crimp style

We were fortunate enough to get a good number of black cria out of Snowmass Midnight Sun, one of our most consistent studs (now working in Idaho), a light/fawn recessive black, who consistently produced high density blacks.

Our website shows not only Midnight Sun's excellent biopsy stats, but shows those of his offspring. Across the board the results are superior, and he is responsible for siring RR Belleza Nera, the densest female alpaca, in any color, biopsied by Alpaca Consulting USA (Ian Watt).

Nuovo Mondo is not yet biopsied but his full brother, Midnight Maestro had very good density and stats with a follicle density 58.7 S/P 10.8:1 and and differential between primaries and secondaries of less than 8microns, and both primary and secondary populations with SDs under 3.5. If you're into numbers, those are very nice numbers for a black.

We think that Nuovo Mondo can bring superior genetics as a contributor to a black breeding program and would be an excellent candidate to start a program in black.
