Description

Apollo has renowned density on both sides of his genetic lineage. His father RR Gun's A Blazin has the densest colored fleece in the nation. His dam is out of Snowmass RRoyal Stars who fleece is also in the top national herdsires for density. This young cria has so much promise as a junior herdsire, mostly in density, but he also has fineness, crimp, handle and all the makings of a champion. We have been working hard for the past two years to integrate density into our ultra fine fleeced alpacas. We have the fineness, we have the EPDs for fineness and we will now being improving those world class EPDs in our stock with the next step of improvement of density and ultimately fleece weight, the EPD measure for density. Apollo has impeccable conformation and ideal phenotype.

Apollo will bring density, color, fineness, conformation and genetics to any breeding program. Colusa Riverside is branching out into the world of color. We have as our business goal to have the best EPDs regardless of color of the animal. We are at our goal in white and it is now time to bring our customers the same EPD quality in color. Apollo is our first step in that direction.

Apollo is grandson of the renowned Guns & Roses sire. Aussie on the top and Snowmass on the bottom of his lineage. Lots of exemplary fiber in this boy, but he also has EPDs that are in the national herd norm. Bred with a 1%er female for brown or grey could give could give great improvement. Apollo is a fine prospect as a junior herdsire, an the price is right. We will guarantee potency in Apollo to any buyer. He will be part of our show string for 2015.
