Legendary dark silver grey herdsire, Peruvian Silverado, has been at Stachowski Alpacas, Mariah Alpacas and Mi Madre Alpacas as a 50/50 Signature Herdsire and foundation bloodline of greys and blacks since he was imported from Peru. Silverado has an impressive record of colored offspring. Of his registered progeny, 32% are grey and 28% are black, which accounts for 60% of his offspring! When bred to black females, 44% of offspring are also black and 28% turn out grey. When bred to grey, 64% of his offspring are grey and 32% are black. In fact, he has only one registered offspring of a grey dam that was not one of those two sought after colors. Even bred to neither black nor grey, his get still shows those colors nearly 40% of the time. These odds are certainly in your favor.Silverado has sired many award winners as well.
